Why do we do this?
The short answer is: compliance.
There are a lot of safety and regulatory trainings that are mandated through legislation. By using Public School Works we are ensured that you have access to all the trainings and information that you must have by law.
Will we do this every year?
Yes. Some content has to be done every year. Other content is repeated every few years. Some content is assigned to every staff members, others are job specific.
I am a teacher. Can I get licensing credit for this?
Yes, if you have a goal that aligns to this on your IPDP. There is a transcript that can be printed and included in your paperwork. If you need a tutorial on accessing the transcript please see the video below.
Are there other courses available, but not required?
Yes, there are several other courses. You are welcome to take them for licensing credit or for CEUs.
Is this where I report injuries sustained while I was working?
Yes, there is a link on the portal/homepage.
