W.I.N. Success Stories

We would like to share a message from Melissa Brown: On behalf of Acacia of Hope, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Romer’s World Cultures and Food class for their incredible generosity and dedication. Through their hard work and compassion, they raised over $650 to provide 17 families in Kenya with clean water for the next ten years. This is an amazing accomplishment that will have a lasting impact on the lives of so many people. Thanks to their efforts, these families will no longer have to worry about unsafe drinking water, and their health and well-being will be significantly improved.

Each year before Thanksgiving our cafeteria staff prepares a Thanksgiving Meal for all of our students. The kids love the meal, the decorations, and the food is outstanding. I want to thank our food service department for their hard work. It was special day for our kids and it was fun to see them enjoy the festivities!

Students in Mrs Schneider’s freshman physical science class acted as safety engineers and created “Newton Cars” to keep their passengers (eggs) safe in a collision. Very fun to watch their creativity come through while they put the science concepts they’ve been using all year into action.

WMS: On Wednesday, November 6 the middle school will be practicing a safety drill at approximately 1:30 PM. We want you to be aware so you are not alarmed.
People often ask if students learn any life skills while in school. I think this is a perfect example of our students doing some hands on learning that will benefit them in their future.

Please take a few minutes to read over some of the great things that have happened during our first 47 days of school.
