As part of our end of the year celebrations, we held drawings for those at Wapakoneta High School who earned perfect attendance for the whole year, the 4th quarter and during state testing.
Our winners were Elizabeth Wright, Lylah Nichols, Aidan Whetstone, Andre Longsworth, Savannah Stratton, Caleb Davis
and Tate Kendig!
Congratulations to everyone that had excellent attendance and were entered into the drawing.
Last evening was the Senior Honors Night at Apollo Career Center. Wapakoneta City Schools would like to express how proud we are of the seniors who were recognized for earning their credentials in their time at Apollo. Many of our young people earned high honors, with a special mention to Kylea Mosher who was one of the two featured student speakers. Way to go Seniors!
Our summer breakfast/lunch program will start June 3. If you are interested please read over the flyer and the attached documentation. The meals will be available every Tuesday from June 3 through June 23 for children 1 to 18. There is a limit of 7 per family and they can be picked up at Cridersville or Wapakoneta High School.
Last night at our school board meeting we honored five of our retirees. Wapakoneta City Schools would like to thank Michelle Law, Mark Koch, Scott Wilson, Michelle Roediger, and Jan Yinger for all that they have done for our school system, and most importantly our kids. Congratulations on your retirement, you will be missed!

This week was National Police Week. We want to take a moment to personally thank our school resource officers, the Wapakoneta Police Department, our Sheriff's Office, and the Highway Patrol for all that they do for our community. We are very fortunate to live in a community with outstanding individuals who protect and serve us every day. Thank you for all that you do for Wapakoneta City Schools and our city!

We’re excited to welcome Lisa Meabon to Wapakoneta High School! Lisa brings an incredible 25 years of experience with the ESC and a rich background in service—including time as a medic in the U.S. Army and as an EMT with the St. Johns and Anna Fire Departments for over 15 years.
A graduate of Southwick High School in Massachusetts, Lisa now enjoys spending time with her husband Gene, their three children, and eight grandchildren. She loves hiking and playing guitar—especially with her grandson Ayden Silvia, a current freshman at WHS!
We’re thrilled to have Lisa continue her journey with us, supporting students right here at the high school.

High School students participated in field day today by earning all 5 stamps on their 4th quarter redskin reward card. There were numerous activities available, plus Reichelderfer Ice Cream and Kona Ice.
We’re excited to welcome Andrew Myers to Wapakoneta City Schools!
Andrew brings over seven years of experience as a paraeducator, including five years at Northwest Academy Streamwood in Illinois, where he supported students ages 12 to 21 from the greater Chicago area with emotional, mental, and behavioral needs. For the past two years, he has worked with the Auglaize County ESC, serving K–4 students across multiple classrooms and facilities.
Originally from Newaygo, Michigan, Andrew is a proud graduate of Newaygo High School. He has a passion for creativity—especially wood and digital art—and enjoys writing theology and Bible studies in his spare time.
Andrew is excited to serve in a supportive role at Wapakoneta City Schools, helping students develop strategies to better understand their emotions and build the confidence they need to thrive each day.
