Over the next few weeks our school buses will be doing emergency evacuation drills with the students. Please be aware that the buses could be running about 5-10 minutes late at the end of the day.

Parents,
We have been made aware of a rumor of a threat that took place at a local district earlier this week. There have been phone calls and questions about this threat and if there is any credible threat towards our school buildings. I want to assure you that there is not, but we have made our local police aware of the issue, our resource officers are aware, and we are taking all necessary precautions at the school buildings. This includes more police presence on our school campus. I can assure you that we always do everything we can to keep all of our kids safe.

Wapakoneta City Schools speech pathologists had a great opportunity to attend a professional development day that focused on building collaborative teams and practices. They also participated in small group Q&A with other professionals and trainers in the field.

Check out the WMS fall fundraiser! This year, we have a different style of slides, a loafer (similar to Hey Dude), and athletic socks. This fundraiser helps offset money that was lost by a grant being cut through ODE and benefits SAT (tutoring after school), PBIS, and staff development. Sale has been EXTENDED through September 11th.
